Flowers, Flowers Everywhere!

Flowers exploding on the hillsides!
Have you seen the explosion of arrowleaf balsamroots on the open hillsides??? It’s my favorite display of wildflowers – they are so cheery! The flowering trees in town look like gigantemous bouquets.
I’m also surrounded by flowers here in the studio! My new work has been getting prepped & ready for the Spring Art Walk in Helena. I will be at the Dancing Lotus Center (in the walking mall at 40 N Last Chance Gulch, next to the Parrot Confectionery) on Friday, May 13th from 5 – 9 pm. The theme of the show is Healing and Hope to provide awareness of the Center’s Foundation that provides no-cost support for veterans and cancer and abuse victims. I’m beyond thrilled to show my work in such a meaningful way as it directly ties in to who I am and where my art comes from within me. I hope you can stop by for a visit!
Also in May is the Art Center of Helena’s group show at the Holter Museum. On display May 4th through the 31st, it is titled “A Brush with Expression 2016”. The opening reception is on Friday, May 6th from 5:30 – 8pm and everyone is invited. The two paintings below are the ones that will be showing. I would love to see you there as well! Perhaps if you can’t get to the Art Walk, you can make this event.
I have found where to reply! Your paintings of flowers are beautiful. I really like the one on my right with the daisy and pink flowers (not sure of the name. I am glad it is warming up. The sun came out today in Oregon and the gardens are in full bloom. Nice time of the year!
So glad you found the comment box lol! 🙂 Thank you so much, Carmel, I’m glad you like the flowers. The one on the right is called “Bloommates”, it has its own page that you can get to if you click on it.
Yes, it’s warming up here, too and it’s supposed to be in the 70s this week. “Town” is a lower elevation than where we are and as I mentioned, they are blooming like crazy. Not so much up here yet, but it won’t be long.
