Have you ever been overwhelmed by difficulties, or felt sucked under by things beyond your control? Life can be hard at times, and it’s far too easy to paint a dreary picture of our lives based on the feelings or circumstances of the moment. I know I sure have struggled at times with my picture stuck in dismal mode! We all need a reminder to re-imagine, re-color and re-frame our world when we are struggling.
I present my work to you with the hope of directing your thoughts to beauty, love and the wonder of Life. No matter what color your world appears to be at the moment, there is always something for which to be grateful. It is those Good Things, no matter how small, that are worthy of our focus.
There are many parallels to life’s journeys and principles found in nature. Those things come to mind as I’m planning each painting. The tools I use are watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil, ink and graphite. Sometimes I paint a picture just for fun or because I like it!
My home is shared with my family and a spoiled house rabbit in the mountains of Montana. There are miles and miles of public land around us, so you’ll find outdoor elements in most of my work. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to leave me some feedback!
