“Merge”, acrylic painting on canvas 14″ x 11″

As you’re reading this, we are on our way to the Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland. Not only do I get to hear amazing live music at home every day from my guitarist hubby, but we take in as many music events as practical. We’ll be watching fireworks from the waterfront. I’ve always loved them – they look like flowers in hyper-bloom mode!

I’ve been invited to participate in Dunrovin’ Ranch’s Equine Art Extravaganza on August 19^th. (update – here are some pics of the event!) The event is to raise awareness and funds for equine therapy programs. Horses have been very special to our family in the past, so I’m extremely thrilled to participate. I will have 5 hours to finish a painting on a LIVE horse – quite a different canvas than the usual!
