I hope you all are enjoying the start of your 2018. I guess I’m kind of a “New Year Nerd” – January is one of my favorite months with it’s theme of new plans, new goals, new hopes.
This month I was selected as the artist for a new line of greeting cards that are focused on kindness and encouragement for women. I’ll have the cards available for purchase by early June if everything goes according to schedule. The line is going to be launched at the National Stationery Show in New York City the 3rd weekend of May – pretty exciting!
I’m wrapping up my commission project this month. The paintings are on 3 rawhide shamanic drums. Each drum features a flower on the front and a small image on the inside rim as a representation of each of 3 daughters. This has been a very uplifting project and I’m honored to have been chosen to paint it. Here are pictures of the 1st 2 drums, the 3rd is in the finishing stages:
The Montana Modern Fine Art Gallery in Kalispell is hosting a small works show for the month of February titled “All You Need is Love”. Four of my pieces were selected! I won’t be able to attend, but the opening reception is Friday, February 9th from 5-8pm.
If you’re in Great Falls any time from March 15th – 18th for Western Art Week, I’d love to see you! I’ll have a booth at the Great Western Design Show at the Montana Expo Park Main Arena.
Have a wonderful February and I’ll touch base with you at the end of the month.
