Summer Fun
Just stopping in to say “Hi!” and I hope you’re all having a great summer – now that it’s here! This is the first year ever that I haven’t had to run a hose to my garden to water, so it’s been nice. The thistles never seem to mind whether there’s water or not, they just always show up! Here’s a quick little sketch painting of some I did that I’m calling “Sometimes Life is Prickly”.
If you’re in the Anaconda area this coming weekend, the 40th annual Art in Washoe Park will be taking place from Friday the 19th at noon through Sunday the 21st at 4 PM. I’m in booth #45, and there will be music scheduled throughout the weekend.
The photo at right was taken by Skylar Rispens of the Seeley Lake Pathfinder. I was demonstrating mixed media techniques for the Loon & Fish Festival.
Also coming up soon is the Lincoln Art & Music Festival. My husband Ron is on the committee and was instrumental in acquiring a grant to bring more visitors from out of state and other parts of MT to the festival. It’s shaping up to be quite the event! Of course, I’ll have my booth, and there are many other fabulous artists showing this year. The music lineup on Saturday evening will be a blast. Hope you can make it!
Enjoy the rest of your summer, and watch out for those thistles. 😊
