Spring in February!
Spring is not official, but it sure feels like it! My painting had a bit of a slowdown in February due to my bunny studio buddy Pookie needing some intensive care. He’s still going against ALL odds, but we know we don’t have much longer with him. Sure gonna miss that mischievous little rabbit…

Yes, he really looks like this!
I did manage to finish a few paintings. A viola commission is done and ready to frame, as is a mountain lion painting that sold before I finished it (thank you Theresa!)
Of course I had to let some more poppies out! This one is 26″ x 13″ and done in acrylic and ink. I’m calling it “Last Dance” since they look as though they are dancing together in tribute to the end of a life cycle.
The “Talkin’ ‘Bout the Weather” magpie painting was accepted for the Paris Gibson Square 19th Annual Art Auction. I’m not only honored to be selected as an artist, but thrilled to be able to help with their fundraising efforts. They will exhibit all of the auction paintings from March 15 – April 9th and the auction is on April 9th. If you’re in Great Falls be sure to check it out, there will be some wonderful art there.
I hope you’re all able to get out and enjoy the wonderful weather!
