Last fall I spotted a magpie in a brilliant yellow bush while driving to town.  I did not have my camera with me, but the image stayed in my mind, begging for a painting.  I loved the contrast between the yellow bush and the magpie’s striking coloration.  Since magpies are known for their intelligence, I thought it would be fun to portray two of them talkin’ ’bout the changing weather.  This painting was accepted into the Montana Watercolor Society 2015 Watermedia Show.
