New Season, New Space
October has been momentous in many ways. Our youngest child moved away, so with the bittersweet feelings that go along with empty nest syndrome came the reality that I can now expand my studio space.
I moved from a 7’x 7′ space where I could barely move my chair without knocking things over to a place where I can now accommodate large format paintings and a few students – yippee! It’s not entirely settled in yet, but here are some pictures.
November is a flurry of shows so if you’re on my postcard list you received the dates. I hope to see you all out and about, please do stop and say “hi”! Here’s a recap with details:
November 2-4th is the HoHoHolter Holiday Event at the Holter Museum of Art in Helena. Thursday the 2nd is the preview for Holter members only from 5-8 pm. November 3rd coincides with Helena’s Fall Art Walk from 5-8 pm, and Saturday the 4th is 10-5 pm. If you can’t make it to one of the dates above when I’ll be there, all artwork will remain through December 24th.
November 10th & 11th is the Celebrate Montana Art Artist’s Showcase and Sale at the Radisson Colonial Hotel in Helena. Quite honestly it’s one of the best art shows in Montana! Very diverse and ultra-high quality, you won’t be disappointed. Friday the 10th from 4-8 pm, Saturday the 11th from 10-5 pm.
November 24th – 26th is the Montana Art Festival at the Hilton Garden Inn in Missoula. This is the first time for me to participate and I’m honored to be juried in, as it has an excellent reputation. Friday and Saturday hours are 10-6, Sunday hours are 10-4.
If I don’t see you before then, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones and laughter!
