This little cutie was seen in our yard a few times in the winter.  It’s quite a ferocious little thing – we actually witnessed it picking off a woodpecker for lunch one day! The bird it caught was easily as big as it is, which is only about 4-5″ tall. Any kind of owl is rarely seen during the daytime, so this was a real treat.
