I’m captivated by the expressiveness of flowers and their parallels to our human lives. Every stage of their growth, from the push out of the earth to their return to the ground, is stunning. Sunflowers start as robust “youth” reaching for the sky and shouting to the world and end as a nodding, wise elder napping in an easy chair.
