When I started this painting I was thinking of the aging process and how our outer “parts” get faded but our inner parts retain their beauty. The original title was going to be “Aging Well”. As the image progressed, I was struck by the way the inner part of the flower seemed to be lit up from within. Another great picture of aging is learning to let our Inner Light shine!
