Spring in Montana brings the sandhill cranes. Their unique call and arrival always mean winter is behind us. Ron & I love to drive around just to see what we can see when the seasons change, and the cranes are a highly coveted picture I’ve been trying to capture. Surprisingly, they are quite skittish so it’s difficult to get very informative photos of them. Their beautiful form and elusive nature inspired this painting.
